The Neon Virgin of Saigon

The beautiful Virgin from Notre Dame cathedral in Ho Chi minh city. One thing I'm very proud of is I got this shot without a tripod. I used my wallet and a packet of smokes. Thankfully there was a marble column for me to place the makeshift heap on otherwise the angle of the shot would be been rubbish.

Billy's crutches and laundry basket.

It's with great delight that I can report this project is back on track. saying that I have a serious amount of work to do editing interview audio files and a few more shots with the man himself.

Just back from Marrakesh and I have to say while I will return to Morocco I doubt I'll spend much time in Marrakesh again. Nice spot but does have the feel of an ancient Temple bar about it combined with similar prices...

Stones to the Sun

Lough Conn with Nephin at Sunset, because I don't have enough photos of Lough Conn or Nephin at all... Joking aside I'm delighted with this. Its part of the series I'm working on of times of transition being a doorway to other worlds. In the Irish (and most European countries to be far) tradition Lakes were often seen as doorways or entrances into the fairy kingdoms. Think of la Morte d'Arthur and the lady of the lake. The Goddess inhabiting the world beneath the surface is not uncommon and I wanted to capture a feeling of magical otherworldliness that captured this idea.
